From Classroom Farewell to University Adventures: Embracing a New Chapter
(image generated via Night Cafe ai) My last few posts consisted of me declaring that I was leaving/gone from the classroom for good. But then unpaid bills started piling up. Since that time I got a position as a part time instructor at a local university. Same same but different. So now some of my posts will be about my part-time instructor journey, now teaching mostly freshmen some university survival tips through experiential case studies, and teaching research and debate skills. They also learn to write papers and "try" not to use ai for help. I have to keep reminding myself that they are just a couple of months away from being high school kids, but I want to treat them like adults. This means that I still get excuses when work is not turned in on time, or when they decide to skip class.
