The Marriage of Education and Technology
We educators (barely) survived the Pandemic as we were thrown into the abyss of figuring out how to deliver our classes online. Most of us had little to no training on the vast differences between teaching in person and online. We were forced to up our tech skills, and FAST. Now, using technology for teaching is practically an everyday thing for us, whether we like it or not. But why are some educators still resisting? Perhaps it is because the world of technology is overwhelming because it’s constantly evolving? Or is it because when we need it something usually stops working, especially when we’re being observed, right? Or is it because some think they’re lacking in some skill set to make them more effective? Whatever the reason, technology is not going anywhere. In fact, using technology for education is not only in K-12 classrooms, but also universities and even the corporate world has taken to using technology to train its employees.
Take a look at this article about how technology is changing to meet society’s needs and the challenges we all face. Comment to let me know your thoughts.
