Free AI-Centered Lessons for Every High School Subject

I just came across a great website that effortlessly helps educators effectively teach and learn about AI, and what's even better, is it's FREE.

The resource/website, named CRAFT is a collaboration between classroom educators of different subjects and the Stanford Graduate School of Education, along with the help of the Stanford Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence department. Each lesson that was created by the teachers had to be written in a way that they could be adapted by any educator to use in any subject. Here is a screenshot of the first couple of lessons available, as well as the filter on the left.

Why teach AI in the first place?

First of all, students need to understand the difference between using AI as a substitute for their own writing, and using it to enhance their writing. Educators are all up in arms about how students can and are using AI to cheat, instead of learning how to teach students how to ethically use AI to improve their learning experience. When students learn how to use AI to help rather than substitute, their critical thinking and communication skills are enhanced as they try to figure out the best way to form prompts to get the desired output. Additionally, students will be more informed about AI and how businesses are using it to make work more streamlined and efficient, which leads to the last reason: students need to be prepared for future careers and/or entrepreneurship. AI is going nowhere, and in fact, will be everywhere, and those who do not adapt will be left behind.

Im actually thinking to use the first lesson in the screenshot as a fisrt-day activity, along with my AI Classroom Policy.
